Editorial & Fact-Checking Policy

Published: October 14, 2026 • Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Movement News Media Network

At Movement News (movementnews.online), our foremost commitment is to the truth. We adhere to rigorous journalistic ethics to ensure that every news story, analysis, and report published across our network is fair, accurate, comprehensive, and non-partisan.

1. Fact-Checking & Verification Protocol

Accuracy is the cornerstone of our journalism. Our reporters and editorial desks adhere to the following fact-checking principles:

  • Primary Sources: Whenever possible, our news stories are built on primary evidence—official press statements, verified government gazettes, court filings, direct interviews, and firsthand eyewitness testimony.
  • Multi-Source Rule: Unofficial claims or breaking news reports require verification from at least two independent, reliable sources before publication.
  • Statistical Verification: Economic, demographic, and scientific numbers are cross-referenced with authorized databases (e.g., RBI, PIB, WHO, World Bank, official sports boards).
  • Visual Verification: Photographs and user-generated multimedia are analyzed for geolocation, reverse-image origins, and temporal validity to prevent misinformation or doctored media.

2. Corrections & Clarifications Policy

Movement News believes in absolute transparency. When an error occurs—whether factual, grammatical, or contextual—we take prompt responsibility and correct it visibly:

• Correction Footnote: An explicit correction note is appended at the bottom of the article detailing what information was altered, why, and the exact timestamp of the update.

• Major Corrections: If an error fundamentally changes the substance of a headline or story, a formal editor's note is pinned at the top of the article.

• Reader Reporting: Readers who identify potential inaccuracies are urged to submit corrections to editorial@movementnews.online.

3. Editorial Independence & Commercial Separation

We maintain a strict and impenetrable wall between our editorial newsroom and commercial advertising operations:

  • No advertiser, sponsor, political entity, or commercial partner exercises control or preview rights over our journalistic reporting.
  • Any sponsored content or native advertising is visibly and unequivocally labeled as "Sponsored," "Advertisement," or "Partner Content" in compliance with ASCI and FTC guidelines.
  • Our editorial staff do not accept gifts, paid travel, or incentives that could compromise objectivity.

4. Sources & Confidentiality

We always seek on-the-record attribution. We only grant anonymity when a source faces genuine risk of physical harm, job termination, or retaliation, and the information is of vital public interest. The identity of anonymous sources is always verified and shared with the Editor-in-Chief.

5. AI & Modern Technology Standards

While Movement News utilizes cutting-edge cloud infrastructure (including n8n automation and cloud feeds for timely dispatch), all content published under the Movement News masthead undergoes human editorial oversight. No AI-generated or aggregated article is approved without review by our editorial personnel for accuracy, tonal balance, and factual veracity.

6. Editorial Feedback & Grievance Contact

Our editorial leadership welcomes constructive scrutiny. For concerns regarding journalistic fairness or standards, please reach out to:
